Abstrakt
This master thesis explores computer-assisted pronunciation training in English language instruction. The theoretical part introduces the English phonetic and phonological system, discusses principles of pronunciation teaching focused on upper secondary education and presents two branches of language learning: computer-assisted language learning and computer-assisted pronunciation training. The practical part is dedicated to action research investigating the implementation of technological tools for pronunciation instruction in English language lessons at the upper secondary level. The primary aim of the research is to determine whether, and if so, what changes occurred in students' perceptions of their pronunciation as a result of the implementation of these tools.
