Abstrakt:
This bachelor thesis is dealing with selected poetry of Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772 - 1834) and his contemporary Robert Southey (1774 - 1843), more specifically with poems "Frost at Midnight," "Kubla Khan," and "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by S. T. Coleridge; as well as "Madoc," and "The Inchcape Rock" by R. Southey. In its first part the thesis focuses on introducing the discipline of ecocriticism, introduce the authors' perspective of relation between nature and man, and explains the importance of so called 'sublime' for romantics. In the second and third chapter of the thesis ecocritical comparative analyses of selected poetry are covered. The results of the thesis are summarized in conclusion.
