dc.description.abstract	Práce se zabývá teorií knižní ilustrace, pokouší se blíže specifikovat a vymezit základní rozdíly mezi pojmy jako ilustrátor, ilustrace, vědecká ilustrace, žánrová ilustrace a dětská ilustrace. Ke každému typu byl sepsán stručný text o požadavcích, které by měl ilustrátor ve své tvorbě splnit. Zároveň byla popsána historie jednotlivých typů, kde je zmapován jejich vývoj v závislosti na dobovém vkusu. Vědecká ilustrace je natolik složité téma, proto byly vybrány jen některé vědní obory, kde dosud hraje důležitou roli a čtenář se s ní může setkat v běžné knižní produkci. Uvedeny jsou i jména významných osobností, v obrazové příloze jsou k nahlédnutí některá z jejich děl, jenž dokládají názorně výtvarné cítění své doby. Poslední část je věnovaná grafickým technikám a jejich stručnému přehledu. Jsou zde popsány nejznámější a nejčastěji užívané techniky v časové posloupnosti.	cze
dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis deals with the theory of book illustration. It specifies and defines the differences between the elemental terms such as an illustrator, illustration, scientific illustration, genre illustration and children illustration. Next to this, it briefly characterizes each type from the point of view of its demands on the illustrator. Furthermore, it includes a comprehensive study of different types history and tracks their development in dependency on period taste. However, scientific illustration is such a complex topic, that this paper covers only the fields of study where it still plays some role and a reader may come across it. What is more, this work mentions remarkable illustrators and shows some of their masterpieces, which clearly document the period art taste, particularly on a field of book illustration. Because of the fact that they enormously catalyzed an expansion of illustration, the last part summarizes printing techniques chronologically and describes the most common of them, including the contemporary ones.	eng
