The Master's thesis deals with providing feedback in ELT lessons. The work is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part introduces the importance of communication, explains the term interaction and introduces classroom communication, which is a special type of social communication. Evaluation as a covering term including feedback is introduced in the next part of the thesis. Different types and techniques of feedback are the main topic of the third chapter. The theoretical part concludes with the introduction of a taxonomy of objectives in relation to feedback. In the practical part, whether the provided feedback is in alignment with the objectives of individual activities is mapped with the use of observations and short interviews.
