Translation of Shakespeare´s Macbeth: Modern Czech and English versions

Abstract

This bachelor paper deals with interlingual and intralingual translation of Shakespeare´s Macbeth. Three Czech translations, those of J. V. Sládek, Martin Hilský and Jiří Josek, are compared and contrasted with the original English version. The original version is then compared with its modern edition and the differences are described. Finally, the paper summarize different attitudes of the translators.
