Abstrakt
The thesis deals with developing learning competency in students within ELT. The theoretical part speaks about curricular reform and the concept of learner training. It further deals with language learning strategies. The practical part, through action research, aims at enhancing teaching practice with helping teenagers monitor their work and understand their strategies by introducing various strategies to students. The author analyzes whether the students are able to reflect strategies tha can help them learn better after a particular amount of time.
