Transport services in the NUTS 3 regions, provided by own bus operator

Abstract

Before 1989 was transport services provided by state bus company. After the Velvet Revolution, this bus company was privatized. Although the transport service was still necessary. Nowadays the basic transport services are ordered by regional authorities. In this systems are problems related with operating company. The aim for the regional authority is a tender with the cheapest winner. The lowest price is related to the drivers wages, technical condition of vehicles, etc. Thanks to these problems, the establishing of own transport company is an absolutely logic. This paper shows the possibilities of transport company establishment.
