Analysis of legislative measures aimed on cycling in Europe

Abstract

This paper analyses the differences in legislation aimed on cycling in European countries. The popularity of cycling in European cities has been increasing in recent years, especially in the context of micromobility. Together with this, the possibilites for cycling are wider consider to accessibility of e-bikes, bike sharing and cargo bikes. This development should be taken into account in legislastive and technical measures. Traffic rules differ in european countries, and the infrastructure requirements may also be different.
