Consignment stock concept in the Czech Republic

Abstract

The concept of Consignment Stock is a very important logistic technique for short-term asset management as it is a completely innovative approach. This concept is crucial for helping manage inventories in which the supplier furnishes the inventory and maintains a stock of material in the buyer´s possession. This paper deals mainly with analysis finding of usage and share of the Consignment Stock concept usage in the Czech Republic and defining obstacles and gains before/during/after the implementation of Consignment Stockage. The analysis is based on a quantitative survey held in the Czech Republic.
