Abstrakt
This thesis examines the phenomenon of adultification in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs, focusing on how the novel portrays children in adult roles and responsibilities. It explores key themes such as boundary dissolution, parentification, and the child redeemer archetype, while also considering the role of photography and the application of Kathryn Bond Stockton's theory of growing sideways. Using literary and psychological theories, the thesis situates the novel within the context of young adult and crossover literature.
