dc.description.abstract Increasing worldwide effort to decrease the amount of air pollutants (NOx, COx, SOx, volatile organic compounds etc.) according to strict environmental legislative opens a new worldwide business. Environmental catalysis has seen one of the biggest growth in importance. This report is focused to NOx emission control. Commercial techniques of NOx abatement and future NOx emission control possibilities are discussed. The main stress is given to the selective catalytic reduction of NO with hydrocarbons as one of the promising and attractive systems to NOx abatement from mobile and stationary sources of NOx operating in the excess of oxygen. eng
