Abstrakt
This paper focuses on the role of motivation within Human Resource Management activities.It briefly discribes historical development of HRM, the important theoretical findings dealing with motivation and than compares how American and Czech companies treat their employees with focus on ways companies use to enhance their performance in both countries.
