Samadaga Agamalıogli’s Critical Approach to Muslim Turkish Women

Abstract

The struggle of Samadaga Agamaliogli for the emancipation of women is the main subject of this article. Agamaliogli’s purpose was to demonstrate that a community where women do not develop cannot improve itself. The status of women in a society determines the level of that society. Veiling is a powerful obstacle in the way of women’s progress. Therefore, it is not possible to reach an advanced culture with the chador. Agamaliogli proposes solutions for the liberation of women in his works. For this purpose, we examine his books and articles.
