| dc.description.abstract | Předmětem tohoto příspěvku je pohled na sociální imaginaci indiána ve filmu. Utváření představ je pojato v historickém kontextu od počátku vzniku filmu na konci 19. století až po současnou tvorbu, jejímiž autory jsou také zástupci původních obyvatel Severní Ameriky. Text reflektuje téma dekolonizace mediální sféry ve vztahu k reprezentaci původních obyvatel a také diskutuje možné limity alternativ k hollywoodské produkci, zejména ve vztahu publika k specifikům estetiky a narativity současných tvůrců z řad původních obyvatel. | cze |
| dc.description.abstract-translated | The main aim of this paper is to describe social imaginations of „the Indian“ in a film. The construction of these images is offered in a historical context from the beginnings of the film in the 19th century to contemporary movies, often created by Norh American Indigenous filmmakers. The paper also deals with the theme of media decolonization of representation of the indigenous peoples of North America and discuss the potential limits of an alternative production to the one of Hollywood, such as audiences and their acceptance of specific indigenous aesthetics and narrativity of contemporary indigenous filmmakers. | eng |
