Aim: The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between pain and anxiety and depression in a cancer patient. Material and methods: The relationship is investigated using a valid HADS (Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale) questionnaire and a pain thermometer. This relationship was evaluated in 100 respondents. Results: The survey showed that with the increasing stage of the disease, the observation of anxiety and depression decreases. Anxiety occurred most in the first stage of the cancer. Furthermore, the results of the survey indicate that the patient's pain has no statistically significant relationship to depression and anxiety. Conclusion: The research points to the importance of proper analgesic therapy and a holistic approach in the care of cancer patients with pain.
