dc.description.abstract	Tato diplomová práce se věnuje islámu v první polovině dvacátého století. Konkrétně skrze pohledy vybraných českých orientalistů Jaromíra Břetislava Košuta, Rudolfa Dvořáka a Aloise Musila. Teoretická část je zaměřena na problematiku orientalismu obecně. Zabývá se historií koncepce orientalismu a představami o Orientu v Západním světě. Jako stěžejní dílo pro tuto práci slouží Orientalismus Edwarda Saida. V potaz budou brány také kritické reakce na jeho dílo a práce, které na něho navazují. Mezi další autory, kteří orientalismus pojímali z jiného úhlu než Edward Said a ukázali tak k němu jiné přístupy, patří Urs App a Balagangadhara Rao. Praktická část se již konkrétně věnuje třem předním českým orientalistům tohoto období a jejich pohledu na islám. V průběhu práce byl brán zřetel na křesťanskou tradici, ze které všichni tři autoři vycházeli, a jejímu vlivu na interpretaci a pojímání islámu. V závěru se tato diplomová práce snaží shrnout zjištěné poznatky a zasadit je do kontextu.	cze
dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis is devoted to studying Islam in the first half of the twentieth century. Specifically, through the views established Czech orientalists Jaromír Břetislav Košut, Rudolf Dvořák and Alois Musil. The theoretical part focuses on the issue of orientalism in general. It deals with the history of the concepts of orientalism and the concepts of the Orient in the Western world. Orientalism by Edward Said is used as the main piece for this work. Critical reaction to his work and other texts that follow his work are also to be taken into account. Among the other authors who orientalism portray from a different angle than Edward Said and showed then to him other approaches include Urs App and Balagangadhara Rao. The practical part is longer specifically dedicated to the three leading Czech orientalists this period and their view on islam. The Christian tradition, on which all three authors are based, and its impact on the interpretation and conceptualization of Islam is also taken into consideration in the course of the work. In conclusion, this thesis tries to summarize the findings and put them into the context.	eng
