The value of library services depending on individual determinants

Abstract

Importance of libraries is indispensable in the educational society, both with regard to the availability of public services and information for society as a whole, but also as a cultural and educational way. The value of libraries can be expressed through elicitation approaches of willingness to accept compensation and willingness to pay, which will be presented based on the obtained primary data from research in the Czech Republic. The data will be further compared to individual indicators of education with regard to the quality of human capital. The work will be a correlation and regression analysis of the data from which it will be possible to draw conclusions as to whether and to what extent the library services affect the level of education in society.
