dc.description.abstract-translatedDemand theory dealt with a number of authors and historically passed through its development until after the determination of the demand, breakdown kinds of inquiries, mathematical determination of demand function, graphical derivation, to the mathematical and graphical analysis of the determinants of demand in the short and long term. This article outlines the historical background of the theory of supply and demand functions described. Furthermore, the closer we pay problems classical model of demand in terms of short-term consumption. The article is more focused on describing the demand for durable goods and its practical application, which is processed on the basis of statistical data, particularly from the Czech Statistical Office and the Association of automotive suppliers. Finally, we summarize the results of the application and put it in the context of short-term and long-term view in terms of the demand for durables consumption.eng
