Utilizing simulation model in large-scale production management
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Šnapka, Petr; Mikušová, Marie; Mutinová, Terezie
Main aim of this paper is to present the simulation model for large-scale production process, where usage of the model helps to simulate the course of production for different dynamic characteristics of workplaces’ operations. This model can be used for both the preparation process of the production and also in the realization process, it means within the framework of operative production management and this way it can contribute to its efficiency. The structure of the model is created by functional blocks and their linkages considering organizational and chronological hierarchy of the actions which are presented as the model’s structure. The theoretical knowledge of regulation, hierarchical system and optimization are the base for the simulation model creation.

Spatial distribution of competitiveness support in the Slovakia in relation to growth poles and small and medium enterprises
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Smékalová, Lenka; Hrabinová, Šárka; Habuda, Martin
The paper discusses the spatial dispersion of competitiveness support to the Slovak entrepreneurs via Operational Programme Competitiveness and Economic Growth in programming period 2007 – 2013 with relation to allocation granted to growth pole municipalities and small and medium enterprises. The analysis of implemented projects in reference period 2007 – April 2013 shows marked support for small and medium enterprises in terms of total allocation of European Union support. Spatially the programme is consistent with the intent to direct the European Union support to the growth poles rather than other municipalities with notable differences in thematic focus of the projects in innovation and cohesion growth poles despite no explicit preference of growth poles in programme manual or calls for proposals.

The expansion strategy of multinacional chains
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2014) Seres Huszárik, Erika; Dobai Korcsmáros, Enikő
Retail operates as an intermediary in between the wholesale and final customers. After the change of regime in Slovakia the first multinational chains appeared and started to create their hypermarket-network throughout the country. It is well known that these international companies are getting bigger slice cleaved off of the retail market, as a daily shopping gradually supplanted by large weekly shopping trips, and as a result, of course, increased the size of the amount spent per purchase occasion. The key of the success of chains comes from appropriately selected sites. This paper examines the criteria for site selection of food chains in Slovakia. In our research, we consider the most important factors that influence the location choice (the road network coverage, the number of available income and population) as well as the penetration index to examine the current situation in the Slovak retail market. The penetration index examines the various size categories of municipalities in at least the percentage of the test facility as a commercial store network. The study ends with the research conclusions and proposals for future development.
