Philosopher, Truth and Public Life

Abstract

Philosopher in his public sphere-activities should be led by truth. The particularity of this truth can be seen in its contradiction to personal decency, individual´s moral credit, any primary regard to the self and any moral system and theory. To be loyal to such a truth means being able of historical activity, of the deed which is rooted in deep criticality. Within the following text we deal with Hejdánek´s conception of truth that was the pillar of non-political politics, on which for example Charter 77 was based.
