dc.description.abstractPráce se snaží prozkoumat zdroje inspirace, které ve svých dílech používala Willa Cather. Nejprve jsou z obecného hlediska určeny hlavní zdroje inspirace. Po prozkoumání jednotlivých zdrojů inspirace, následuje úplná analýza použitých zdrojů porovnáním jejich důležitosti ve čtyřech dílech: My Ántonia, Death Comes for the Archbishop, Shadows on the Rock a Sapphira and the Slave Girl. V závěru se práce pokouší určit, zda je jeden z těchto vlivů silnější než ostatní a pokud ano, který je nejdůležitější v dílech Willy Cather.cze
dc.description.abstract-translatedThis thesis examines the sources of inspiration that were used by Willa Cather in her fiction. At the beginning, the main sources of inspiration are established from an overall perspective. After the individual sources of inspiration are analyzed, the thesis provides analysis of the use of these sources by comparing their importance in four novels: My Ántonia, Death Comes for the Archbishop, Shadows on the Rock and Sapphira and the Slave Girl. The paper concludes by determining whether some of these influences have a stronger presence in Cather’s work than others and, if so, what this implies.cze
