Project work and its application in ELT

Abstract

The thesis focuses on project work in ELT in context of the current phase of the curriculum reform in the Czech Republic. It introduces the curriculum reform and its purpose in ELT. It further explains and clarifies the term project work on the basis of the theory of cooperative learning. Finally, the empirical part of the thesis investigates and analyses the potential and limitations of project work in ELT in connection with the current curriculum reform.
