Current approaches to data modeling

Abstract

The information systems are most often realised by means of database software. The database systems make increased demands on users which have to know the data model principles. There is a question which form of the modelling approach and which software modelling tool should be selected by a user / manager - whether a standard data modelling approach or a object approach. This contribution summarizes some results of the University of Pardubice projects FG462024 and PR461006, which the students FES were involved in.The information systems are most often realised by means of database software.
