    (Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Šudřichová, Martina
The fall on foreign demand had a negative impact upon the Czech export that is an important part of the national economy. Compared with the previous period the year had registered a fall on goods export about 13,8%. The report will focus in the rating of the global economic crisis impact on the Czech export of goods. In terms of the export strategy Czech Republic has introduced arrangements with the aim of the Czech exporters support in the time of economic crisis. Changes in the grand-in aid were introduced in other EU members as well. Examples from Germany and Slovakia will be presented being the main export markets for Czech Republic. The crisis impact on the Czech export grand-in aid will be rated. There was an increase of the total volume of the export and insured credits. The Czech export strategy starts to focus more on the SMEs support. The Czech Export Bank and the Export Guarantee and Insurance Corporation product structure has changed in the time of crisis. Efektivní design dodavatelských systémů
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Škvor, Jan; Dyntar, Jakub; Gros, Ivan
In this paper we present the efficient approach to design of supply chains based on warehouse location. We propose two methods of warehouse location such as the localization method and total enumeration method and compare their efficiency in a numerical study. Based on the results of the numerical study we conclude that both proposed solutions can be used for efficient warehouse location in case of one warehouse placement. In case of the location of many warehouses we recommend the application of localization method mainly because of the acceptable time consumption spent on the searching for the optimal solution.

The (non)sense of private equity regulation
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Šinka, Michal; Teplý, Petr
The 2007-2009 global financial turmoil has taught risk managers lessons that will be crucial for developing more stable financial markets in the future. Private equity funds are sometimes believed to have played a major role during this global financial turmoil. In the light of serious economic problems, questions arose whether the regulation of these funds were sufficient or whether the effects of the global crisis would have been mitigated if regulation and supervision had been stricter. In this paper we argue that the private equity regulatory proposals included in the Directive on Alternative Investment Fund Managers in the European Union and the Dodd-Frank at Act in the USA will be inefficient, i.e. the costs of such regulations will outweigh its benefits and will not offer future market protection.

Identifikace datového obsahu pro vývoj datového modelu
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Šimonová, Stanislava; Kořínek, Martin
Each organization or company wants to reach good output in a long-term, whether output products are commodities or services. The goals are improving quality and efficiency of production. Concept and norms of quality feature recommendation, of which process approach and efficient information / data administration take significant place. Business processes and business data constitute linked unit, because business processes need relevant data for work and business data should fully serve to business processes. Similarly, linked unit is constituted by process and data modeling, which needs to be done by cooperation of processes actors and data users, thus by cooperation of managers. Role of managers is un-substitutable, for they create requirements for improving and for higher quality via their models. The main topic of this paper is identification of business data content with a view to management.

Data Mining v praxi: segmentace zákazníků dle nákupního chování
    (Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Poláčková, Julie
The paper focuses on the usage of data-mining techniques as a support tool for decision making. This paper describes the mining of hidden and potentially useful information from databases using data mining methods. These methods, sometimes called as techniques for knowledge discovering, help users, mostly managers, to make qualified decisions in the organization. The aim of the process of knowledge management is not only to collect information, but to transform it into knowledge and use it in a decision-making process. The purpose of this paper was to find and evaluate the different methodological approaches appropriate for customer segmentation. Various data mining techniques were used for demonstration of customer segmentation according to their purchasing behavior within a selected hypermarket. The following techniques were used for clustering: K-means clustering method, Two Step clustering method and Self Organizing Maps. The quality of final models was evaluated by Silhouette measure. It combines the principles of clusters separation and cohesion. Data mining model was constructed from approximately 60 thousand transaction records. Only the food records were selected for the analysis. The paper also examined the effect of the number of dimensions to the clustering. The original variables were reduced into a smaller number of uncorrelated principal components. These components were used for construction of a scatter plot to check the homogeneity of clusters. The results of this analysis confirmed that the reduction of dimensionality is an useful device for the evaluation of generated clusters.

Aproximácie rozdelenia celkovej škody a ich aplikácia v interných aktuárskych modeloch
    (Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Páleš, Michal
Based on quality actuarial analysis of specific data, an effective method to estimate the distribution of total claim is chosen. Approximate, recurrent procedures and simulation techniques can be used, for example. This paper presents approximate the effect normal distribution compared with standard procedure. The entire sample is presented for calculating the risk premium for explicit examples including the use of computer technology.

Znalostní management a jeho uplatnění v menších podnicích
(Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Novotný, Josef; Mikulecký, Peter
Knowledge management and its support by modern information and communication technologies is a relatively recent but still very topical area. The knowledge has already become a critical strategic resource for business activities and further economic development of firms and whole society too. Thanks to knowledge management as well as efficient exploitation of shared corporate knowledge various firms can develop their competitive advantages more and more. In the Czech Republic the interest in knowledge management utilization is mainly connected with international firms. In this paper we wish to show on a case of a smaller Czech firm that knowledge management can be an appropriate choice also for small and mediumsized enterprises.

    Lidské selhání jako příčina krize
    (Univerzita Pardubice, 2011) Mikušová, Marie
The paper focuses on the contribution of human errors to the crisis or problem, looking for causal relationships in the process of human error, factors that affect human error, and graphically illustrates their relationship. It looks at the quality of decision making associated with the types of errors in decision-making as a rejection of good practice, accepting a bad solution, incorrect solution to the problem, the correct solution to the problem correctly, but too late. Presentation of relationships between different people contributing to a crisis or incident shows the need for a feedback, since information wrong assessment makes for unsystematic problems anticipating.Paper presents that the mental processing of information is influenced by human activities, so the whole system of organizations. To monitor the links leading to the failure the method GFT (Generail Failure Types) is proposed. Paper characterizes the factors related to human failure. The characteristics used in the proposed schemes. There are founded connections by asking questions: what went wrong, how it went wrong and why it went wrong. For the structure of error prediction creation three basic situation types were selected (deviation from routine, a deviation from normal operation, a unique change). Presented schemes help to search for causal relationships in specific answers to those questions that can be applied to the conditions of the particular organization, and thereby help prevent errors detected.
