filtru (EKF) umožňuje efektivní rychlost výpočtu a dosahuje vyšší jednoznačnosti reprezentace
výsledků než běžně používaná metoda PHDF.
Součástí aktivit je i analýza a porovnání výsledků dvou asociačních metod PHDF (běžně
používaná) a PHD-MAT (nově navržená) pro různé scénáře a pro odlišné vstupní parametry. |

The habilitation thesis presents a selection of research activities I have been involved in during
my time at the University of Pardubice, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics.
The thesis focuses on the problem of signal processing in multi-bistatic radar systems for air
traffic control, particularly on the association of measurements from individual bistatic radars.
The chosen topic is seamlessly related to previous research activities that dealt with the
computation of mutual uncertainty functions from individual bistatic radar measurements.
Measurements represent input data for subsequent data association.
In the habilitation thesis, I describe the problem of multi-position radar systems, focusing on
the subclass of multi-bistatic radar systems and their signal processing principles. This is both
for an individual bistatic radar and for a multi-bistatic radar system. This part of the habilitation
thesis analyses the problems complicating the evaluation of targets that reduce the achievable
information value and outlines their possible solutions. This is done from the perspective of
bistatic radar and its integration into a multi-bistatic radar system.
The main part of the thesis is devoted to the problem of association of measured data on
individual bistatic radars, which must be correctly interpreted (fused) to avoid association errors
that will lead to incorrect determination of the position of individual targets. This work includes
the development of a new association method (PHD-MAT) for target association and
subsequent target tracking. This method is based on a modified hypothetical probability density
calculation. The proposed new association method, using the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF),
allows for an efficient computational speed and achieves a higher uniqueness in the
representation of the results compared to the commonly used PHDF method.
The activities include analysing and comparing the results of two association methods, PHDF
(commonly used) and PHD-MAT (newly proposed), for different scenarios and input
parameters. |
