Předkládaná práce Medializace literatury v meziválečném českém tisku zkoumá roli literární
publicistiky jako součásti kulturní a politické komunikace v Československu mezi lety 1918-1938.
Cílem práce je zachytit šíři způsobů chápání literatury a role literárního života ve veřejné sféře
první republiky jako jednoho z činitelů kulturní a politické komunikace, který se podílí na utváření
vztahu k novému státu. Text má tři hlavní části. V první se zaměřuje na metodologii historického
zkoumání periodického tisku v průniku historie, mediálních studií, literární vědy a stylistiky. Ve
druhé části text na základě pramenů z období počátků zkoumání českých médií přibližuje podobu
meziválečné české žurnalistiky a pozici literární publicistiky a beletrie v periodickém tisku. Třetí
část práce tvoří čtyři studie kulturních časopisů vybraných na základě dobových politických a
literárních souvislostí. Jsou jimi katolický Akord, agrární revue Brázda, levicový avantgardní Host a
Přítomnost jako zástupce politického středu. Závěr práce komparativně shrnuje výsledky analýzy ve
vztahu k hlavním otázkám tématu. |

The thesis The Medialization of Literature in the Interwar Czech Press focuses on the role of
literary journalism as a part of cultural and political communication in Czechoslovakia from the
year 1918 to1938. The goal of the thesis is to describe the variety of ways literature was understood
and the role of literary life in the public sphere of The First Czechoslovak Republic as a factor in
cultural and political communication ? a factor involved in the formation of the relationship to the
new state. The thesis has three main parts. The first part focuses on the methodology of historical
research of the public press in connection with history, media studies, literary science and stylistics.
The second part describes interwar Czech journalism and the position of literary journalism and
literature in the public press. The sources for the research are texts from the beginnings of Czech
media studies. The third part consists of four studies of cultural magazines which were chosen on
the basis of contemporary political and literary contexts. They are the Catholic magazine Akord, the
agrarian magazine Brázda, the left-wing avant-garde magazine Host, and the magazine Přítomnost
as a representative of the political center. The conclusion of the thesis comparatively summarizes
the results of the analysis in relation to the main issues of the theme.
