Předmětem bakalářské práce je komplexní restaurování pátého vydání
Melantrichovy Bibli z roku 1577 ze sbírek Regionálního muzea v Litomyšli.
Kniha se dochovala v původní renesanční vazbě a obsahuje řadu pozdějších oprav
knižního bloku a vazby. Objekt se dochoval ve velmi špatném stavu. Šití není kompaktní.
Došlo ke ztrátám složek na začátku a na konci knižního bloku a k výraznému poškození
papíru u spodní ořízky v celém bloku, některé dvoulisty se dochovaly pouze ve fragmentární
podobě. Desky a pokryv knihy jsou také ve značné míře , ve spojení s knižním blokem se
dochovaly díky dobovým zásahům na knižní vazbě.
Práce obsahuje restaurátorskou dokumentaci rozšířenou o podrobnější informaci o
tisku a grafické výzdobě. Kompletní restaurátorská dokumentace obsahuje identifikaci,
popis typologie knižní vazby a bloku, typografický popis a popis grafické výzdoby. Dále
následuje informace o poškození, restaurátorský záměr, podrobný popis restaurátorského
zásahu a doporučení podmínek pro uložení a manipulaci s objektem. Dokumentace také
obsahuje seznam použitých materiálů a chemikálií, textovou, grafickou a obrazovou přílohu
včetně rozsáhle fotografické dokumentace. |

The subject of the bachelor thesis is a complex restoration of the fifth edition of the
Melantrich's Bible from year 1577 from the collections of the Regional Museum in
Litomysl.
The book survived in original renaissance binding and contain a range of different
periodical repairs in the text block and binding itself. The object has survived in a bad
condition. The sewing isn't compact, and range of folds and folios are lost, the paper is
damaged in the lower edge part in the whole text block, some of the sheets survived only as
fragments. Boards and leather cover are widely damaged and remained connected to the text
block in significant degree due to the periodical repairs.
The work includes restauration documentation with the widened information about
the print and its design elements. Complete restauration documentation contains
identification, specification of typology of the binding and the text block, typographical and
graphical decoration descriptions. Furthermore, there is an information about damages,
detailed description of the restauration process and recommendations for conditions of
storing and handling of the object. Documentation includes the list of the materials and
chemicals that were used and supplemented by the text, graphic and image appendix with
the photographic documentation. |
