Abstrakt:
The article deals with the health risks of longevity and their economic consequences in the European countries. It uses various international comparisons to identify longevity factors, the healthy life expectancy and the most common causes of illness and mortality among the elderly. It also focuses on the economic consequences of population aging, especially in relation to longterm care funding and their prognosis. The results of factor and cluster analysis allow a comprehensive comparison of European countries according to the quality of life, health and serious illnesses of people age 65 and over.
