The aim of this thesis was to determine what processes affect the percentage of
residual solvents in flexible packaging during printing. Especially for food packaging it is
very important not to remain any residual solvents in large quantities in the layer of inks
after package print. There is always a tiny portion of the solvent in the package, so it is
necessary to monitor the proportion of solvents in the packaging not to exceed a certain
limit. [1] The experimental part focuses on the amount of residual solvents with different
settings of the printing machines at different drying processes. Printing tests were printed in
the cooperation with the company of Soma et al. s r. o. in their flexographic machines
Optima for printing flexible packaging, which has a drying concept based on the principle
between inking mechanism drying and a tunnel drying. Then the samples were measured at
the chromatograph of Perkin Elmer. |
