Diplomová práce, teoretická část se zabývá problematikou restaurátorských prací, které
prováděli umělci a restaurátoři bratři Boháčové z Volyně mezi léty 1920-1940 v Praze. Zde se podíleli na rekonstrukcích významných pražských památek pro přední instituce nově vzniklého československého státu. Práce jsou pojednány v širším kontextu s názory tehdejší odborné veřejnosti. Důraz je kladen na jednotlivé stavitele a architekty, kteří rekonstrukce
prováděli a jejich odborný přístup k restaurování a konzervaci památkových objektů. Restaurátorské práce bratří Boháčů jsou popsány v souvislosti s ostatními pracemi, které prováděli jiní restaurátoři. Okrajově se práce dotýká dobových materiálů používaných v restaurování. Na závěr je srovnán jeden restaurátorský zákrok provedený bratry Boháči a druhý provedený jejich kolegou a vrstevníkem Maxmiliánem Duchkem. |

The theoretical part of this thesis deals with restoration interventions of Boháč brothers, artists and restorers from Volyně, which they had undertaken in Prague between 1920–1940. They took part in reconstructions of the major historic sights commissioned by the prominent institutions of the newly born Czechoslovak state. These treatments are discussed within the broader context of the opinions of the professional public of those times. The focus is laid on individual builders and architects, who worked on the reconstructions and their professional
approach to restoration and conservation of the historic sights. Boháč´s restoration
interventions are described within the context of the works that were executed by other restorers. This paper also marginally investigates the period materials used in restoration. Finally, it brings a comparison of two restoration projects, the first carried out by Boháč brothers and the second by their coleague and contemporary, Maxmilián Duchek. |
