dc.description.abstract The paper presents personnel controlling as an integral part of a controlling system to be used to improve human resource management. It deals with the definition of personnel controlling, its tasks and levels. The focus of the paper is on determining the tools of HR controlling,including the use of new management approaches in personnel controlling, from two points of view: their strategic or operative orientation and the preference of the use of qualitative or quantitative data. The specific instruments, which can be used in practice, are presented within all categories of HR controlling tools. eng
