Mistakes in English pronunciation at Czech schools

Abstract

In this work, I will describe the basic mistakes that Czech students make when learning English, reasons and some effects of these mistakes, and, when it si possible, indicate or suggest the way to avoid them. The aim of this work is not to teach the correct pronunciation but to point out those areas where teachers should spend more time by practising.
