Intermodality in the suburban rail transport

Abstract

The primary focus of the dissertation is an evaluation of generalised cost function components of planned intermodal modes and a design of an assessment tool to estimate the change in perception of the intermodal mode against the current transit options. Both a strategic transport demand model and the assessment tool designed specifically for the purpose of the dissertation are used to recommend the optimal approach to the intermodal mode generalised cost function parameter estimation and modelling. The transport model and the assessment tool are both applied on potential ram-train route in Olomouc region.
