Abstract

The paper deals with significance of trust in the economy. Trust becomes still more important issue in economic theory and in business relations. Therefore is important to work on this phenomenon, analyses it and propose the solutions for measurement and use of benefits of trust. Also it is necessary to realize what cause the loss of trust on the other hand. Trust is source of transactional cost reduction and has impact on economic growth. The goal of this article is firstly offer arguments why trust is so important. The main part of work is analysis of trust in financial sector with closer focus on bank sector. In the end of thesis we bring a submission how to measure trust, created questionnaire and processing the result of our testing. We set hypotheses and in the end we test their verity. From the analysis of the questionnaire survey, we can conclude that the trust has an undeniable impact on the trade relations. We have concluded that interorganizational trust is a higher degree of interpersonal trust and that trust toward banks in Slovakia is correlated with trust toward the world banks. Out of three hypotheses examined, validity was confirmed only at first hypothesis.
