Abstract

In economics, administration and management we often use expressions System and Systemic where we need to define more precisely their meaning. A deeper concept of system thinking follows its relations not only to philosophy but also to common sense. The contribution with quotations of important modern authors tries to outline the system thinking as a search of meaning in complex units. The experience of Czechoslovak and Czech System Engineering is included.
