dc.description.abstractThis thesis is divided into a theoretical and an experimental part. The theoretical part deals with organic photovoltaics and describes different materials together with the literature review and description of different types of structures used in the organic photovoltaic cell. Further, it focuses on characterization methods used for organic photovoltaic cells. The main topic of this thesis then becomes parameters for photovoltaic devices such as open circuit voltage, short current, fill factor, and power conversion efficiency. Finally, the theoretical part mentions some picked technologies of deposition/preparation of organic photovoltaic solar cells and experimental methods for their evaluation.eng

He answered the questions of the committee members: Do you think there is a connection of power conversion with charge carrier concentration? Can you comment thicknesses of prepared samples determined by different methods? Are there any parameters that have correlation with power conversion efficiency besides the thickness? Can you comment three types of OPV and which one did you study? Could you draw the chemical structure of PEDOT on the board? Which model did you use for interpretation of the elipsometry data? Did you measure the elipsometry and interpret the data yourself?eng
