dc.description.abstract	The high cost of social security, wages and taxation increase the unemployment rate because they are deterring potential investors and are not creating new job opportunities. Despite the fact there is not always a direct line between labour costs and unemployment. In the example of Slovak Republic, the labour costs are inordinally lower than in the EU countries. Cheap labour in Slovakia is therefore a major incentive for foreign investors.	eng
