Vnímání míry pocitu bezpečnosti občanů Českého Těšína

Abstract

This article presents crucial results of realised research “Perception of Sense of Security Degree of Český Těšín Citizens”, which was conducted in cooperation with local government of North-Moravian town Český Těšín by Ph.D. students from Department of Social Sciences (Silesian University in Opava, School of Business Administration in Karvina) under the expert tutelage of their supervisor. The research was initiated with questionnaire survey in particular parts of Český Těšín in September 2010 and its analytical part ended in April 2011. In the first chapter of the article, the basic terms are defined (security, threat, fear, risk, stress) and the research issue is formulated, i. e. the sense of security in relationship to personal and work life of a man. Second chapter presents the research methods. The authors describe the questionnaire survey progress and the methods, which were used for data analysis and evaluation. The results of realised research, i. e. if the Český Těšín citizens feel secure, are in the third chapter. The last chapter summarizes the research conclusions and recommendations, which can serve as the basis for the local government of Český Těšín to increase the sense of security degree of its citizens.
