dc.description.abstractPříspěvek se zaměřuje na vztah disponibilního důchodu domácností a růstu počtu obyvatel regionu. Za hlavní cíl si klade zhodnocení ukazatele disponibilního důchodu domácností jako potenciálního faktoru atraktivity regionu měřené růstem jeho obyvatel. Vedlejším cílem příspěvku je kategorizace a zatřídění zkoumaných evropských regionů do maticového zobrazení. Pro analýzu byla využita data Eurostatu, z klasifikace NUTS byla zvolena úroveň regionů NUTS 2. Výzkumný vzorek zahrnuje 243 regionů NUTS 2 z dvaadvaceti států Evropské unie. Posuzováno bylo období od roku 2002 do roku 2011. K zodpovězení výzkumné otázky, zaměřené na existenci statisticky významného interakčního vztahu mezi zkoumanými veličinami, bylo užito Spearmanova koeficientu pořadové korelace. Z provedené korelační analýzy vyplynulo, že disponibilní důchod domácností může ovlivňovat jak demografické chování stávajících obyvatel regionu, tak i obyvatel potenciálních, pro něž může být daný region vhodným migračním cílem. Toto zjištění bylo potvrzeno i maticovým zobrazením třídícím evropské regiony podle celkového přírůstku/úbytku obyvatelstva a vztahu regionálního disponibilního důchodu domácností k vypočtenému evropskému průměru. Disponibilní důchod domácností tak lze považovat za jeden z faktorů ovlivňujících atraktivitu regionu.cze
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe paper is focusing on the relationship between disposable income of households and population growth in the region. The main aim of this paper is to evaluate the disposable income of households as a potential attractiveness factor of region, measured by the growth rate of its population. The secondary aim of this paper is to categorize and classify European regions under examination to the matrix. Since the data have been linked from the Eurostat database, the NUTS classification of regions has been employed; and, the NUTS 2 regions have been established as the referential level. The sample covers 243 NUTS 2 regions collected from 22 EU countries within the period from 2002 to 2011. The Spearman’s coefficient of rank correlation has been used to answer the question of “is there any statistically significant relationship between the variables?” Based on the correlation analysis results, we can suggest that the disposable income of households may to influence the demographical behavior of residential inhabitants as well as potential inhabitants, whose may target the region as the goal of migration. These findings have been confirmed by matrix, where European regions have been classified by increase/decrease figures of whole population, and by the relationships between regional disposable income of households and EU average. Hence, the disposable income of households can be considered as one of the relevant factors which influence the attractiveness of the region.eng
