Abstrakt
This Master thesis focuses on the synthesis, isolation, and characterization of novel organic push-pull fluorophores, namely diphenylamine distyrylstilbene systems. Subsequently, their prospective photophysical properties were also investigated in relation to the structure. The theoretical part provides an overview of organic chromophores and their properties, both in solution and in the solid state. The particular focus is brought onto the challenges of the solid-state fluorescence, namely aggregation caused quenching, and modern synthetic strategies for preventing aromatic stacking interactions, which are its main cause. Diphenylamine stilbenes are discussed as suitable systems for the purpose of this research, as well as viable alternative pathways for their synthesis. The following experimental part is concerned with the synthesis of suggested molecules, it provides their characterization by the available physical and optical techniques. Finally, the data obtained are critically evaluated, discussed, and compared with similar substances and synthetic sequences that have been previously described in the literature.
