Místo cestovního ruchu v ekonomických aktivitách České republiky a dalších členských států Evropské unie

Abstract

"Tourism industry" represents the significant phenomenum influencing the economic and social life not only of individual localities and regions (including the implementation of their development strategies) but also of the whole states and subcontinents. Moreover it has the important continental and global dimension. These facts are ilustrated - among others - in the article predominantly by the example of the relatively rapid development of the tourism activities in the Czech Republic. A special attention of the autor is devoted in the article to the explanation of the European legislation as well as the environmental aspects of tourism. The significance of modern management approaches implementation in the tourism industry management in the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st centuries is underlined in the end of the article.
