Abstract

The article focuses on the process of supervision as an alternative form of education, increasing the skills of workers in helping professions. In the first part it tries to define the wide concept of competence, then follows the definition and division of supervision, including consideration of the issue of the need for supervision. The final part outlines the practical application of supervision in some facilities.
