dc.description.abstractČlánek je retrospektivní analýzou posledních dvaceti let česky psané akademické historiografie války a vojenských institucí. Navazuje na podobně koncipovaný text Ivana Šedivého, publikovaný v roce 2002, a jeho ambicí je postihnout základní trendy ve vývoji oboru v posledních dvou desetiletích. Prostřednictvím analýzy monografické produkce doplněné o stěžejní kratší textové formáty autoři postulují tezi o pyramidální struktuře s převahou metodologicky konzervativní produkce doplněné menší částí oboru, která se inspiruje kombinací metod ze sociálních a kulturních dějin. Minimální posun ve vývoji oboru ve sledovaném období autoři přičítají souhře několika faktorů, metodologickou uzavřeností počínaje a institucionálními bariérami konče.cze
dc.description.abstract-translatedThe article is a retrospective analysis of the last twenty years of academic historiography of war and military institutions written in Czech. It follows on from a similarly conceived text by Ivan Šedivý, published in 2002, and its ambition is to cover the fundamental trends in the development of the field over the past two decades. Through the analysis of monographic production supplemented by crucial shorter text formats, the authors postulate a thesis about a pyramidal structure with the prevalence of methodologically conservative production supplemented by a smaller part of the field that takes inspiration in a combination of methods from social and cultural history.The authors attribute the minimal shift in the development of the field during the monitored period to a number of factors working in concert,starting with a methodological closure and ending with institutional barriers.eng
