Jelikož cíl práce vycházel z hypotézy, že Thomas Malory zobrazil v Morte D’Arthur různé události z Války Růží, bylo nezbytné porozumět autorově pozici v oné občanské válce, což znamenalo dopátrat se autorství.cze
