dc.description.abstract	Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou juxtapozice rozumu a víry v románech Grahama Greena The Power and the Glory (1940), The Heart of the Matter (1948), The Honorary Consul (1973) a krátké povídce "The Hint of an Explanation" (1954). Cílem práce je objasnit podstatu autorova přístupu ke vztahu víry a logického myšlení. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována Greenově životu a politicko-historickým okolnostem, které značnou měrou ovlivnily autorovu tvorbu. Za účelem osvětlení některých filosofických principů vztahu víry a rozumu si teoretická část klade za cíl poskytnout vysvětlení na základě prací myslitelů Sorena Kierkegaarda, Friedricha Nietzsche a Karla Marxe. V praktické části je otázka rozumu a víry analyzována z perspektivy ateismu a náboženskosti, pochybností a svědomí, dogmatu, materialismu a spirituality.	cze
dc.description.abstract-translated	This diploma thesis deals with the issue of juxtaposing reason and faith in Graham Greene's novels The Power and the Glory (1940), The Heart of the Matter (1948), The Honorary Consul (1973) and one short story "The Hint of an Explanation" (1954). The aim of the thesis is to elucidate the nature of the author's attitude to the relation between faith and logical reasoning. Special attention is paid to Greene's life and the historical-political background which had a substantial influence on the author's writing. For the purposes of delineating some of the basic philosophical principles concerning faith and reason, the theoretical part aims at providing an explanation based on the works of Soren Kierkegaard, Friedrich Nietzsche and Karl Marx. In the practical part of the thesis the issue of reason and faith is analysed from the perspectives of atheism and religiousness, doubts and conscience, and dogma, materialism and spirituality.	eng
