Professional societies are putting pressure on governments to palliative care has become one of the human rights. Needs of patient with physical, mental or intellectual disabilities or patients with several diseases are traditionaly overlooked in palliative care and their needs at the end-of-life are underestimated. Ethical integrity is essential to writing and publication. Important ethical concerns to consider while writing a manuscript include etiquette, fraudulent publication, plagiarism, duplicate publication, authorship, and potential for conflict of interest. Strategies have been developed to prevent or detect ethical violations, and use of these strategies will enhance ethical integrity when preparing a manuscript for publication. Elderly care has an impact on the quality of life of family members. The research was carried out through a questionnaire and interview. The quality of life was measured using the WHOQOL instrument. The research aimed to identify the current levels of family members’ quality of life and the factors influencing the quality of life thereof. The research findings showed a lower quality of life for family caregivers as compared to non-caregivers in the Czech Republic. The main factor effecting the quality of life was a degree of elderly dependency. This research represents a contribution to descriptions of life situation and position of family carers of their dependent elderly.
