| dc.description.abstract-translated | In the contribution the author focuses on conducting restoration examination of masonry and sculptural works of art from the point of view of the methodology of restoration; his findings are demonstrated by the example of the restoration examination of the Marian (Plaque) Colum in Polička. He deals with the questions of specification of methods and goals of the restoration examination and he occupies himself with the terms such as interdisciplinary collaboration, objectivity and continuity of restoration examination and suchlike. He briefly lists the drawbacks and limitations of conservation practice during the preparation phase of restoration projects and points out the need for implementation of pilot projects. | eng |
