Dividendová politika určuje, jakým způsobem bude zisk zadržován a reinvestován nebo rozdělován na dividendy a ve svém důsledku ovlivňuje kapitálovou strukturu společnosti. Výplatu dividend by měl management provádět v souladu s prvotním cílem společnosti, kterým je maximalizace tržní hodnoty společnosti pro akcionáře. Článek identifikuje statisticky významné rozdíly ekonomických ukazatelů mezi společnostmi vyplácející dividendu oproti společnostem dividendy nevyplácející. Nové poznatky jsou konfrontovány s již uskutečněným výzkumem dané problematiky ve vybraném odvětví. |

The dividend policy sets amount of retained earnings, amount of earnings paid as a dividend and it also influences the capital structure of a firm. Managers should maximize the wealth of their shareholders so they should set their dividend payments according to this objective. Therefore, is deduced that the key figures for firms that distributed dividends will show a statistically significant difference to the corresponding figures for firms that did not distribute dividends. New knowledge obtained in this article is also confronted with other research among companies in the same industry, which has been carried out and published by other author. |
