Diplomová práce se zabývá charakteristikou a kvantifikací rizika závažných onemocnění. Teoretická část obecně definuje pojem riziko, popisuje možnosti pojištění závažných onemocnění, včetně výhod a nevýhod tohoto pojištění. Cílem praktické části je kvantifikace počtu pojistných událostí spolu se stanovením celkového pojistného plnění pro pojištění závažných onemocnění pro Slovenskou republiku. |

This thesis deals with characteristic and quantification of the risk of serious diseases. The theoretical part defines risk, describes the possibility of insurance of serious diseases, including advantages and disadvantages of this insurance. The practical part is to quantify the number of claims, along with the determination of the total indemnity insurance for serious illnesses for the Slovak Republic. |
