Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na možné vymezování evropské identity s ohledem na přítomnost islámu v Evropě. Cílem práce je vystihnout události, které by mohly souviset s vymezováním evropské identity. Text je koncipován do třech významnějších kapitol: v první kapitole jsou nastíněny historické události, které souvisejí s přítomností islámu na území dnešní Evropy. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje především na možné vymezování evropské identity. Závěrečná část práce se věnuje současné veřejné diskusi o možné roli islámu v dějinách Evropy. |

This diploma thesis deals with the possible delimitation of the European identity with regards to the presence of Islam in Europe. It aims to define the events that could be related to the delimitation of the European identity. The thesis is divided in three chapters: the first chapter presents the historical events that are connected to the presence of Islam in Europe. The second part deals with the definition of the European identity. Last part analyses the public debate about the part of Islam in the history of Europe. |
